Our Hierarchs

Every Orthodox Church traces its roots back to one of 5 Ancient Christian Churches. Our Parish has been established through the Greek Orthodox Metropolis of Pittsburgh, which is in under the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America located in New York City, which is under the Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople located in present day Istanbul. The Ancient Christian Church in Constantinople was established by the Apostle Andrew, who was the first-called of the Apostles. Shown above are the bishops who currently preside over the aforementioned churches.

Our Parish's Clergy

Fr. Tom has always emphasized the need to for regular partaking of Holy Communion. And with this dedication to receving Holy Communion every week, the need arose to bring assistance from additional clergy. Thus we've been pleased for many years now to have a retired priest, Fr. Spyridon Papademetriou, from our sister parish of St. Matthew's serving with us on a weekly basis. And with the addition of a full-time assistant in Fr. Nicholas Halkias, our parish has three clergy for most of our services.

Our Office Staff very easily is made up of three people: Connie, Connie, and Connie. Connie is the secretary for the church. And even though she gets pulled in a hundred different directions, Connie always has a smile on her face, and plays a vital role in our parish activities.

Office Volunteers

Our office can not function properly unless we get help for all of the parish mailings that go out to our parishioners during the course of the month. We are thankful that we have a group of dedicated parishioners who assist the Church Secretary when there are large mailings or other work to be done. It takes more than one person to run this office, and these wonderful people help get our mailings out and on time. Here are the people who help us in the office:
