The mission of Habitat for Humanity is driven by the life and teachings of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, to love our neighbor as ourselves. God intended that we live in relation with one another and that we care for one another - particularly the poor. God has blessed many of us with an abundance of material wealth, but there are also those who struggle to survive and many live right here in our own community of Berks County.

In this regard, we have been offered a path through which we can minister to the poor locally. Our Habitat for Humanity volunteer group consists of a group of dedicated servants (lead by Milton Capiotis) who participate in conjuction with the Reading-Berks Habitat, whenever available for our scheduled work sessions, which are usually every other month at a Habitat construction site. Here is a glimpse of our Habitat work team:
